Diligence

The Greatest Story ever told has yet to unfold. You may be thinking, “Is this all there is to my salvation?” My response is - we have only begun to investigate The Depths of The Redemptive Work of Christ Jesus. In actuality, the Born Again experience is the beginning of our journey into The Dimensions of God.
Although Jesus is presently seated at The Right Hand of God, He is all the while working in us. (See Philippians 2:13) Because He is seated at The Right Hand of Majesty, He is The Guarantee of The Promises of God being attainable.
We are not natural beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a natural experience. It is time to become more spiritual! One of faith’s many responsibilities is to cause us to rise higher in our privileges. The Blood of Jesus has made our ascent possible. If you are not satisfied with your Christian walk, this month’s letter should compel you to lay claim to The Excellency of Christ.

Never Satisfied

Make it your responsibility to search out The Mysteries of God through the study of His Word and praying much in the spirit. It is through your diligent investigation of The Finished Work of Christ that this journey continues. Let us read John 1:47-50:
  • 47) “Jesussaw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
  •  48) Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
  • 49) Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
  • 50) Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.”

“And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see” (John 1:46). Initially, Nathanael was not impressed with his encounter with Jesus. He thought nothing good could come out of Nazareth. However, his opinion quickly changed when Jesus told Nathanael He saw him under a fig tree before Philip called him.

Nathanael was now personally impacted by Jesus’ Ministry. His revelation that Jesus is The Son of God changed him forever. It is not until we go beyond our religious perception of Jesus that we begin to discover The Wonders of His Person.

There are Blood-bought, Spirit-filled and Word-taught Nathanael (s) alive in the Church today. Unfortunately, limited knowledge of Jesus will cut off the traditionally minded Christian from The Manifold Graces of God. The thought that anyone is satisfied with their knowledge of Jesus is a distinct indication of ignorance of Him.

Never be content with your understanding of God. Just about the time you are comfortable with your comprehension of Him; He will reveal another Aspect of His Amazing Character which could result in your transformation.

“The goal I pursue is the prize of God’s upward call in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14 Common English Bible).

The Objective

“For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:17) The word “reign” means to rule. Our objective is to reign in life. Having this mindset, whatever the commission, we are positioned to dominate in our earthly assignment.

In 2 Corinthians 12:9 Paul in the midst of a trial received this revelation from Jesus: “...My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness...” Paul’s response was, “Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” Paul came to the conclusion that all of his religious and secular knowledge was insufficient. Instead, he surrendered to Christ Jesus and became weak in his natural abilities. It was then The Power of God rested upon him.
The Apostle Paul dominated in life. When pressed by death, he shook it off as he did with the venomous snake on the island of Melita. (Acts 28:3-5) Paul decided when it was time to lay down his life, not the negative circumstances that were opposing him. (Philippians 1:21-24)

In Name Only?

I challenge you to be more than an in name only Son of God. For the world to truly believe in our Father there must be evidence of The Kingdom of God emanating out of our lives. The world requires proof that The “I AM” actually exist. We are obligated, as a result of The Great Commission, to show them. Are you up to The Task?

According to 1John 3:1-2 you are no mere human being:
  • 1) “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
  • 2) Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”

The first verse of 1 John 3 clearly reads that it was The Father’s Love that announced to all creation who and Who’s we are. Also, in the second verse it is abundantly clear we do no have to wait for heaven to be Sons of God - “...now are we the sons of God...” No one can refute these sacred truths and the sacred trusts that have been delivered to us.

It is our Divine Heritage that calls for the demonstration of the supernatural.  “And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men” (Acts 14:11). What did Paul do that caused the people of Lystra to believe that he and Barnabas were gods? They saw these men of God release healing power and bring wholeness to a man that was crippled from birth.

We prevail in life when we are spiritually minded. Like Paul, it is essential we become weak in our ability. Holy Spirit will not compete with our will for leadership in our lives. When we are empty of self, The Virtue will flow into our powerless condition, delivering us and others.

“...for when I am weak [in human strength], then am I [truly] strong (able, powerful in divine strength.” (2 Corinthians 12:10 Amplified Bible).
